Sask. population still rising despite oil slump

Despite the slump in the oil patch, more people called Saskatchewan home in the first four months of 2015.
 
As of April, 1,134,402 people were living in the province according to Stats Canada.
 
That’s an increase of 1,762 from the beginning of the year.

Over the past 12-months the province has gained 14,273 new residents which represents the second strongest growth rate in the country.
